I'm here, in Suria KLCC.
My favourite mall in Malaysia.
So many people, despite it's a Monday.
I don't know what I'm searching for, here.
I don't have a penny to spend, so I watch people instead.
All sorts of people from all walks of life can be seen here. I looked at the displayed goods behind shiny windows. Eager salesmen. Snobbish salesmen. People who judged you, scanning you from head to toe. People who don't even see whoever walked past through them. A kid pulling the hand of her miserable-looking mother, pointing at the expensive, colourful Hawaiana's flip-flops. Another tired-looking around 10 year old-ish, resting her head on the foodcourt table. I almost lifted her head and tell her off that it's not hygienic, but my mind stopped me.
The fountains. Moving up and down. I'm at the balcony facing the park, besides the Godiva chocolatier and Ben's. The waiter at Ben's smiled at me, expectantly at first, but then shrugged her shoulders when she saw that I started typing while stopping to stare at people now and then.
I remembered those days when we were so happy, me and my siblings, each time we went to the park. Just to watch the fountains. Then ayah will buy some bakery goods and mineral water and we ate happily. Or ran happily. Whichever. We never ate at Chili's. Or watched a movie here, because the rate is higher compared to our local IOI Mall in Puchong. We came for the water park (now closed,) and the fountains.
I always caught myself succumbing to childhood memories when I feel depressed, like on days like today.
Water elements always excites me. I found someone who had phobia towards water bodies, and my mind screamed why. Cz I can't process it. It's a happy thing for me, despite my inability to swim.
Or maybe, it's just not meant to be. I have to let it be. And move forward.
Just like how fountains at KLCC park got its ups and downs, I realized life is also more or less the same. If not worse.
I'm glad I'm here today, to see the fountains.
